The European Networks of Councils for the Judiciary

The European Networks of Councils for the Judiciary (ENCJ) is an organization where all the institutions and councils of the member states that are independent from the executive and legislative powers and that work for the independence of the judiciary are gathered under a single roof.

The objective of this organization, to which all the members of the European Union (except for the ones without an independent judicial council) are members to, and the candidate states and those without an independent judicial council are observer members to, is to strengthen the judicial independence in Europe by improving the collaboration between the judicial councils of the states and increase mutual understanding.

There has been several ENCJ General Assemblies and Study Groups so far, and the Council of Judges and Prosecutors has attended these meetings.
