The Visit of Within the Framework of 25th Anniversary Activities of Judicial General Council

Upon the invitation of Judicial General Council of Mongolia, our country was represented by the Council of Judges and Prosecutors delegation composed of Mr. Alp Arslan, Member of the Second Chamber of the Council of Judges and Prosecutors and Mr. Halil Akkız, Rapporteur Judge at the Foreign Relations and Project Bureau of CJP in the International Scientific and Practical Conference on “Judicial Development Trends: Functions and Models” organised in Ulan Bator, the capital of Mongolia, within the framework of 25th anniversary activities of Judicial General Council on 13-16th  June 2018.

The abovementioned conference that took place on 14th June 2018 was opened by the President. Following the opening remarks of Mr. Prof. Dr. Lundendorj Nanzaddorj, the President of Judicial General Council, the presentations took place and in the 3rd session of the Conference, Mr. Alp Arslan presented on “Judicial Administration and the Role of the Council of Judges and Prosecutors in Turkey”.

On 15th June 2018, the delegation paid an official visit to Administrative Court of Appeal of Mongolia and had an official meeting with the President of the Court. In this meeting the parties had an exchange of ideas on the administrative judiciary systems of the both countries and examples of good practice were put forward. The meeting was finalised with the agreement of the parties in principle on mutual goodwill and the development of cooperation in days to come.

Following Administrative Court of Appeal, our Council paid an official visit to Judicial Council of Mongolia and accepted by a delegation presided by Mr. Prof. Dr. Lundendorj Nanzaddorj, the President of the Council and which is composed of D. Erdenechuluun and P. Batsaikhan, the members of the Council; Ts. Mandakh, Director of Judicial Research, Information and Training Institute; G. Bilguun, Director of Foreign Relations Department and G. Buyankhishig, Director of Media and Public Relations Department. In the aforementioned visit, the structures and functions of the Judicial General Council of Mongolia and the Council of Judges were presented; information was exchanged on the judicial systems of the both countries; the issue of improvement of cooperation between both Councils was discussed. The meeting was finalised with the historic and cultural partnership of both countries together with mutual goodwill wishes.

On 16th June 2018, historic monuments of Mongolia were visited with the participation of the President of Judicial General Council and its members and the programme was finalised.
