Member

Mrs. Demirel was born in 1968 in Kıbrıscık, Bolu. She graduated respectively from Bursa Yeşil Girls’ Imam Hatip High School in 1987, from Department of Electronics of Uludağ University Vocational School for Higher Education in 1989 and finally from the Law Faculty of Istanbul University in 1994.  

She completed her master’s degree in the department of Political Sciences and International Relations in Social Sciences Institute of Yeni Yuzyıl University and with her thesis titled “Electronic Marketplace Applications and Legal Relations between Parties” in Private Law in Social Sciences Institute of Istanbul University.

After having worked as a self-employed lawyer and served as a Board Member in Emlak Konut (Real Estate Investment Company), Mrs. Demirel served as a member in High Council of Judges and Prosecutors (HCJP) between 26.10.2014 and 06.06.2017. On 19.05.2017, she was selected as a member of Council of State by our President of Republic and she served as member in 12^th and 8^th Chamber, Board of Presidency, High Disciplinary Board and Human Rights Committee. Having been elected as a member of the Council of Judges and Prosecutors by the General Assembly of Grand National Assembly of Türkiye on 25.05.2021, she still holds the office. 

Mrs. Demirel has a published work entitled “Electronic Marketplace Contract within the framework of Law on Regulation of Electronic Commerce“ and she speaks English and Arabic.
