The 1st Pan European Regional Conference of International Association of Prosecutors (IAP) to which our Council is a member, was held in İstanbul, Türkiye, on 02-05 May 2023.

Our Council was represented in the conference, in which several countries and international organisations took part, by Mr. Mehmet Akif EKİNCİ, the Acting President and Head of Second Chamber; Mr. Halil KOÇ, the Head of First Chamber; Mr. Veli ÜNAL and Mr. Mehmet Emre SARIYILDIZ, the Rapporteur Judges of the Foreign Relations and Projects Bureau.

The main topic of the conference was “Effective Investigation in the Age of Digitalisation”, “The Appearance and Effects of Digitalisation in the Criminal Procedure”, “Fighting Against Economic Crimes in the Age of Digitalisation”, “Artificial Intelligence in Criminal Procedure” and various elements of the international cooperation were discussed during the subsections. 

The conference ended after the closing speeches and information regarding the next general conference given at the final day.
