21st Plenary Meeting of the Consultative Council of European Judges (CCJE) was held via video conferencing on 4-6 November 2020. In the meeting Türkiye was represented by Mr. Yaşar Şimşek, Member of the Council of Judges and Prosecutors and Mr. Ali Rıza Ülker, Rapporteur Judge of the Council. 

The meeting, which was held with the participation of high level judges from the member states, focused on the evaluation of the draft Opinion No. 23 (2020) entitled “The Role of Associations of Judges in Supporting Judicial Independence". Being prepared taking account of the opinions, suggestions and evaluations submitted by the representatives of member states, the draft Opinion No.23 was examined and adopted. Moreover, views were exchanged on the Opinion No.24 to be prepared by the CCJE for 2021.
