The 26th Plenary of the Consultative Council of European Judges (CCJE) was held in Strasbourg, France, from 12 to 14 November 2025. Dr. Mehmet Emre Sarıyıldız and Mr. Hakan Bulut, rapporteur judges of the Council of Judges and Prosecutors, represented Türkiye at the meeting.
The main agenda of the meeting was the draft of “Opinion No. 28 on the importance of judicial well-being on the delivery of justice.” The draft was discussed, deliberated, and adopted in line with the evaluations, contributions, and recommendations of the representatives of the member states. Within the framework of the meeting, the work areas for 2026 were discussed and agreed upon, and the draft document concerning the membership structure and working methods, as well as other items on the agenda, were discussed.
During the visit, exchanges of views were held with the Turkish Division of the European Court of Human Rights and the Permanent Representation of Türkiye to the Council of Europe.
