The 42nd Bureau and 36th Working Group Meetings of the Consultative Council of European Prosecutors (CCPE) were held on 20-21 February 2025 at the Council of Europe premises in Strasbourg (France). The CCPE, established in 2005, serve as a consultative body of the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe. Its main tasks include gathering information on the functions of prosecutors' offices across European countries, conducting studies on the role of prosecutors in the criminal justice system, and preparing opinions on prosecutorial activities for the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe.
Mr Onur USTALİ, Rapporteur Judge of the Bureau of Foreign Relations and Projects, who was elected as CCPE Bureau Member in CCPE’s General Assembly in 2024, and Mr Yunus Emre YUMUŞAKBAŞ, Rapporteur Judge of the Bureau of Foreign Relations and Projects, attended the meeting on behalf of Council of Judges and Prosecutors (CJP).
Preparations were made, discussions were held and works were carried out to draw up the draft of Opinion No.20 on the “Diversity and Inclusivity within Prosecution Services” in the meetings during which other working group members and technical experts exchanged views and finally participants worked on creation of a basic draft text to be discussed during the following Bureau and Working Group meetings.
