A meeting on efforts towards improving the system of appointments and transfers of judges and prosecutors within the scope of the TAIEX Expert Mission, which is administered by the Directorate General of Neighbourhood and Enlargement Negotiations of the European Commission, was held in the High Council of Judges and Prosecutors of Türkiye on 13-14 June 2016 with the participation of the Head of the 1st Chamber, Members, Deputy Secretary General and Rapporteur Judges of the HCJP, as well as Ms. Natacha PINOY, the Chief of the Directorate General of Human Resources at the Ministry of Justice of France, and Ms. Valerie DELNAUD, President of the High Court of Senlis, Paris.

In the meeting, the system of appointments and transfers of judges and prosecutors in Türkiye was evaluated on the basis of the system in France, and it was aimed at making a comparative analysis as to what could be done in order to improve the system.
