European Court of Human Rights (ECHR) Working Visit

Our Council paid a working visit to Strasbourg between 03-06^th July 2018 in order to observe working principles of ECHR onsite, to increase awareness about ECHR jurisprudence and to strengthen relations with the Court.

In the 25 person delegation presided by Mr Sinan Ekici and Mr Ali Erdem, Deputies of Secretary General of Council of Judges and Prosecutors, Rapporteur Judges and Inspectors of the Council took place.

Within the framework of the visit, Mr Hasan Bakırcı, Section Registar; Mr Atilla Nalbant, one of the Chiefs of ECHR Turkish Division and other ECHR Jurists made presentations on different subjects. After the presentation Q&A part took place and parties had mutual consultations. Views on example ECHR decisions that shape applications were exchanged.

Our delegation returned to Türkiye on 6^th July 2018 after having completed their work.
