Mr. Fuzuli Aydoğdu, the Acting President of the Council of Judges and Prosecutors, Mr. Atila Öztürk, the Secretary General and Mr. Hakan Bulut, the Rapporteur Judge who were in Baku, the capital of Azerbaijan, as part of an official program, participated in an international conference titled “Global Challenges in Judicial Administration” that was organized on 18 June 2025 on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of the establishment of the Judicial-Legal Council of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
During the conference that started with the opening speech of Mr. Inam Karimov, the Chairman of the Judicial-Legal Council of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the President of the Supreme Court of the Republic of Azerbaijan; on behalf of Türkiye, Mr. Fuzuli Aydoğdu, the Acting President of the Council of Judges and Prosecutors, made a presentation on global challenges encountered in judicial administration and modern international solutions developed to address these challenges. Additionally, a bilateral meeting was held between Mr. Fuad Alasgarov, the Assistant to the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan and Mr. Fuzuli Aydoğdu, the Acting President of the Council of Judges and Prosecutors.
Within the scope of the Conference;
- Ms. Urška Kežmah, the President of the Judicial Council of Slovenia,
- Ms. Aida Seidakmatova, the President of the Council of Judges of the Kyrgyz Republic,
- Mr. Bertan Özerdağ, the President of the Supreme Council of Judicature and the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus,
- Mr. Ilir Rusi, the President of the High Judicial Council of Albania,
- Mr. Ernar Begaliyev, the Member of the High Judicial Council of the Republic of Kazakhstan,
- Ms. Dana Jelinkova Dudzikova, the Member of the Judicial Council of the Slovak Republic,
- Mr. Chang Nongrong, the Standing Member of the Adjudication Committee of the Beijing High People’s Court of the People’s Republic of China,
made presentations to the participants as well.
In the evening of the same day, a gala dinner was organized to mark the anniversary of the Council’s establishment which was attended by the conference participants as well as Prof. Dr. Birol Akgün, the Ambassador of Türkiye to Baku.
During this event, various bilateral meetings were held between the participants and consultations took place to strengthen judicial cooperation between the countries.
