The Project on the Strengthening of Judicial Ethics in Türkiye
The main beneficiary of the Project on the Strengthening of Judicial Ethics in Türkiye is the Council of Judges and Prosecutors, and the Justice Academy of Türkiye is the co-beneficiary. The aim of the project is to determine ethical codes for judges and prosecutors and to establish a commission regarding breaches of ethics in the Council of Judges and Prosecutors. The expected outcomes of the project are; a detailed analysis of the situation regarding judicial ethics and the determination of the rules of judicial ethics, raising the awareness among the Turkish judges and prosecutors regarding judicial ethics, increasing the capacity of the Council of Judges and Prosecutors to implement the ethical rules, and raising the awareness of the society regarding the existence of judicial ethics and complaint mechanisms.
