RUSSIAN FEDERATION STUDY VISIT

In order to develop bilateral cooperation in judiciary, as Council of Judges and Prosecutors, a delegation chaired by Mr. Mehmet Yılmaz, the Acting President and composed of Mr. Halil Koç, the President of the First Chamber; Mr. Yaşar Şimşek, Member of the First Chamber; Mr. Fuzuli Aydoğdu, Secretary General; Mr. Yunus Nadi Kolukısa, the President of the Inspection Board; Mr. Hüseyin Cem Eren and Mr. Halil Akkız, Rapporteur Judges, held a study visit to Russian Federation on 16-21 October 2017.

Within the framework of the study visit, official meetings were held with Russian Federation Supreme Court, Russian Federation Office of the Chief Prosecutor and Russian Federation Council of Judges. In these meetings, Council of Judges and Prosecutors and above mentioned Russian Federation institutions agreed in principle on developing bilateral cooperation in judiciary. Besides, detailed information on the judiciary system of Russian Federation was obtained and ideas were exchanged on the judiciary systems of both countries.
