The 20th Plenary Meeting of the Consultative Council of European Prosecutors (CCPE)

The 20th Plenary Meeting of the Consultative Council of European Prosecutors (CCPE), held in Strasbourg, France, on 16–17 October 2025, was attended by Mr. Onur Ustali and Mr. Yunus Emre Yumuşakbaş, rapporteur judges of Foreign Affairs and Project Bureau of Council of Judges and Prosecutors (CJP), representing our country.

The agenda of the meeting which was held with participants representing the prosecution bodies of member states of the Council of Europe at various levels, was to evaluate the draft Opinion No.20 on “Diversity and Inclusivity in Prosecution Services”. In the meeting, the comments and contributions of the representatives of member states emphasised the importance of presence of prosecutors and prosecutorial staff with different backgrounds, experiences and perspectives in prosecution services and Opinion No. 20 establishing the fundamental principles of diversity and inclusivity, from recruitment to career progression, for all levels of staff in prosecution services was adopted.

On the other hand, the thematic study that includes the responses of Council member states regarding the role of artificial intelligence in prosecution services to the questionnaire on the use of artificial intelligence in the work of prosecution services and aims to provide an overview of current practices of use of artificial intelligence in prosecution services, was examined.
