The 26th working group meeting of the Consultative Council of European Prosecutors (CCPE), established as the consultative body of the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe in 2005 to gather information regarding the functions of the prosecution services in European countries and to perform activities regarding the role of prosecutors within the criminal justice systems in their countries, and particularly to prepare opinions for the Committee of Ministers regarding prosecution services, was arranged in Paris, France, on 18-19 February 2020.
Rapporteur Judge Mr. Ali Rıza Ülker who was selected as the member of the CCPE 2020 working group, attended the meeting with Rapporteur Judge Mrs. Emine Burcu Sinoplu.
The members of the CCPE working group had the chance to exchange opinions with each other during the meeting on the draft of the CCPE Opinion No. 15 on the “The implications of the decisions of international courts and treaty bodies as regards the practical independence of prosecutors”, which the CCPE General Assembly decided to prepare at its previous meeting.
