The 29th  working group meeting of the Consultative Council of European Prosecutors (CCPE), established as the consultative body of the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe in 2005 to gather information regarding the functions of the prosecution services in European countries and to perform activities regarding the role of prosecutors within the criminal justice systems in their countries, and particularly to prepare opinions for the Committee of Ministers regarding prosecution services, was arranged via videoconference on 17 June 2021.

Rapporteur Judge Mr. Ali Rıza Ülker, who has been a member of the CCPE working group since 2018 and re-elected as the member in 2021, and Rapporteur Judge Mr. Onur Ustali attended the meeting on behalf of the CJP.

The Working Group members discussed the draft Opinion No. 16 (2021) of the CCPE on ““The implications of the decisions of international courts and treaty bodies as regards the practical independence of prosecutors” and had the chance to exchange opinions.
