The 33rd working group meeting of the Consultative Council of European Prosecutors (CCPE), established as the consultative body of the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe in 2005 to gather information regarding the functions of the prosecution services in European countries and to perform activities regarding the role of prosecutors within the criminal justice systems in their countries, and particularly to prepare opinions for the Committee of Ministers regarding prosecution services was held on the premises of the Council of Europe in Strasbourg (France) on 11-12 May 2023.
Mr. Onur Ustali, Rapporteur Judge at the Bureau of Foreign Relations and Projects, who has been elected as the member of CCPE working group during the Plenary of CCPE in 2022, attended the meeting on behalf of CJP.
The Working Group members discussed the draft Opinion draft Opinion No. 18 (2023) on “the Councils of Prosecutors as key bodies of prosecutorial self-governance” and had the chance to exchange opinions with other members of the working group and technical experts.
