The 34th Working Group Meeting of the Consultative Council of European Prosecutors (CCPE)

The 34th Working Group Meeting of the Consultative Council of European Prosecutors (CCPE) was held on 15-16 February 2024 at the Council of Europe premises in Strasbourg (France). The CCPE, established in 2005, serve as a consultative body of the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe. Its main tasks include gathering information on the functions of prosecutors' offices across European countries, conducting studies on the role of prosecutors in the criminal justice system, and preparing opinions on prosecutorial activities for the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe.

Mr Onur USTALİ,  Rapporteur Judge of the Bureau of Foreign Relations and Projects, who were elected as member of the working group and Mr Yunus Emre YUMUŞAKBAŞ, Rapporteur Judge of the Bureau of Foreign Relations and Projects attended the meeting on behalf of CJP.

The draft Opinion No. 19 (2024) on “managing prosecution services to ensure their independence and impartiality” was worked through in the meeting during which the Working Group members and technical experts exchanged views.
