The First Regional Consultation Meeting of the Project on Strengthening Judicial Ethics in Türkiye was held on 1-2 June 2016 in Erzurum, Türkiye, with the participation of Mr. Metin Yandırmaz, Head of the Third Chamber of the HCJP.

On the first day of the meeting, following the keynote speech, Mrs. Müjgan Karyağdı, Deputy Secretary General of the HCJP, introduced the project, and Prof. Dr. Gülriz Uygur and Prof. Dr. Sibel İnceoğlu gave presentations. In the afternoon, consultations took place on ethical values and implementation by workshops that were held in three different halls with judges, prosecutors and lawyers from Erzurum, Antalya and Trabzon. On the second day of the meeting, discussions took place on the establishment of the ethics codes. The meeting was concluded after the presentations by the group moderators (Prof. Dr. Gülriz Uygur, Prof. Dr. Harun Tepe ve Prof. Dr. Muhittin Acar) and the questions-and-answers session.
