The first Working Group Meeting on Judicial Ethics in Türkiye was held in Abant on 15-17 December 2016.

Mr. Mehmet Yılmaz, Acting President of High Council of Judges and Prosecutors; Mr. Metin Yandırmaz, President of the Third Chamber of HCJP; Mr. Halil Koç, President of the First Chamber of HCJP; Mr. Bilgin Başaran, General Secretary of HCJP; Müjgân Karyağdı, Deputy General Secretary of HCJP; Mr. Yunus Nadi Kolukısa, Vice President of HCJP Inspection Board and Mr. Michael Ingledow, President of the European Council Programme Office in Ankara participated in the meeting.

Judges and prosecutors working in the inditement procedure of the ethics codes and the representative of Turkish Bar Association worked in two groups in company with the consultation of Mr Tom Daly, International Project Coordinator; Mr. Ray Burningham, Project Expert and Prof. Dr. Mrs. Gülriz Uygur, Local Expert of the Project. The meeting was concluded following the presentation of the works carried out in the plenary session.
