The High Council of Judges and Prosecutors attended the first working group meeting arranged in Strasbourg as the most recently elected member of the CCPE (Consultative Council of European Prosecutors) working group member. 

The participants of the meeting arranged in Strasbourg, France on 27-28 February 2017 regarding the preparation for the Opinion No. 12 of the Consultative Council of European Prosecutors on the role of the prosecutors in relation to the rights of the victims and witnesses within the context of Criminal Proceedings were Mr. Ramazan Kaya, the 2nd chamber member; and Mrs. Sibel Demir Saldırım and Mr. Zeki Uysal, Rapporteur Judges at the Foreign Affairs and Projects Bureau of the High Council of Judges and Prosecutors. During the meeting, the work of preparing a draft on the role of prosecutors and other agents in relation to the application of the rights of victims and their violation has been given to the High Council of Judges and Prosecutors. The working group will be meeting again in Paris, France on 15-16 June 2017 in order to further elaborate on the draft which will be presented to the Plenary Session of the Consultative Council of European Prosecutors.
