For the first time ever, following the admittance of its application for the membership, the High Council of Judges and Prosecutors of Türkiye was admitted unanimously to the institutional membership by the Executive Committee of the Association.
Furthermore, the “Standards of Professional Responsibility and Statement of the Essential Duties and Rights of Prosecutors”, which was adopted in 1999 with the decision of the Executive Committee of the Association and is a statement which the Association expects its members to adopt in order to be able to reach its goals, was adopted by the High Council of Judges and Prosecutors of Türkiye with the Decision No.780 of its Plenary Session dated 08.07.2015.
With this membership, there will be an opportunity to actively attend all the events and organisations of the Association, to mutually share information and to benefit from the Association’s publications. Moreover, considering the Association’s assistive mission regarding the development of professional standards, this membership is expected to tangibly contribute to the “Project on Strengthening the Judicial Ethics in Türkiye” which is carried out by our Council.
