Mr. Ramazan KAYA, Member of the Second Chamber of the HCJP, was elected as a member of the CCPE 2016 Working Group in representation of the High Council of Judges and Prosecutors of Türkiye in the 10th Plenary Meeting, which took place in Strasbourg on 19-20 November 2015, of the Consultative Council of European Prosecutors (CCPE), which is a Council founded in 2005 upon a decision of the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe with the purpose of carrying out studies on the role of the prosecutors in rule of law and which functions as an advisory organ subordinate to the Committee of Ministers of the European Council. Composed of representatives from Italy, Luxembourg, Macedonia, Hungary, Germany, Portugal and Spain besides Türkiye, the Working Group is in charge of drafting a report that is to be the base of the Opinion that the CCPE will adopt in 2016. Within the framework of the visit, a presentation was made on the structure and functioning of the HCJP as well as its position in the Turkish Judicial system, and an exchange of opinion took place regarding the judiciary systems of the Republic of Montenegro and the Republic of Türkiye.

The visit of the Committee was concluded following the expression of wishes of increasing the bilateral relations and the presentation of gifts.
