A Delegation from the High Council of Judges and Prosecutors was hosted by the Supreme Judicial Council of the State of Qatar during the first study visit performed by Türkiye on 21-23 March 2016, the purpose of which was to get to know more closely the judicial system in Qatar, and to enhance the relations between the two high judicial councils. The delegation chaired by Mr. Halil Koç, the president of the First Chamber, was composed of Ms. Hayriye Şirin Ünsal, A Second Chamber Member, Ms. Aysel Demirel, a Third Chamber member, Mr. Bilgin Başaran, the HCJP Secretary General, Mr. İbrahim Pektaş and Mr. Musa Kanıcı, Deputies Secretary General, and Ms. Sibel Demir Saldırım and Mr. Abdurrahim Gökbay, Rapporteur Judges.

At 11:00 on 21 March 2017, the HCJP Delegation was accepted by mr. HRT Hon. Masoud Alameri, the President of both the High Judicial Council of the State of Qatar, and the Court of Cassation. During an about 1-hour visit, information was exchanged between parties regarding the judicial councils and the high courts of both countries. The visit reached its end with the agreement for closer cooperation, good wishes of parties for one another, and present exchange.

At 10:00 on 22 March 2017, the HCJP Delegation met with Dr. Ali Bin Fetais Al-Marri, the Chief Prosecutor of the State of Qatar. During this visit, the prosecution systems of both countries were compared with a productive information exchange between parties. The next visit of the second day at the Qatar International Court and the Dispute Resolution Center began after the good wishes of parties to one another and after the present exchange. At the Qatar International Court and the Dispute Resolution Center, the HCJP Delegation was admitted by Mr. Faisal Rashid Al-Sahouti, the CEO of the center. During this visit, the functioning of the system was presented to the Delegation and opinion exchange happened between parties. In the afternoon the same day, the Turkish Embasy in Doha was visited.

On 23 March 2017, the HCJP Delegation was admitted by mr. Ibrahim Al-Nisf, the President of the Court of Appeal of the State of Qatar, and a delegation from the the State of Qatar Supreme Judicial Council. The visit reached its end after an opinion exchange between parties regarding the judicial systems of both countries.

After the study visit, the HCJP Delegation came back to Türkiye on 24 March 2017.
