The delegation whose members were Mr. Kole Shterjev, the President of the Council of Public Prosecutors of the Republic of Macedonia and Mr. Medjit Jusufi, the Deputy President of the abovementioned Coucil, paid a study visit to Türkiye as the guest of the CJP on 18^th April 2019.   

The guest delegation was firstly hosted by Mr. Abdülhamit Gül, the Ministry of Justice and the President of CJP.  

Afterwards, the guest delegation was welcomed by Mr. Mehmet Yılmaz, the Acting President of CJP and Mr. Fuzuli Aydoğdu, the Secretary General of CJP in the Plenary Session Hall. Within the scope of the meeting, there was an exchange of information on the Macedonian and Turkish judicial systems with a sincere and warm attitude. The guest delegation was informed by the CJP delegation regarding the most recent happenings in the judiciary in Türkiye. Both delegations expressed their willingness to improve the relations between two Councils. The guest delegation left the CJP after the gift ceramony and the lunch.

In the afternoon session, delegation visited the Chief Public Prosecutor Office of the Court of Cassation. In this visit, delegation hosted by Mr. Mehmet Akarca, the General Prosecutor. Then, a presentation regarding the mandates and the functions of the General Prosecutor Office as well as its statue within the judiciary in Türkiye was made within the context of the study visit.

The study visit reached its end with the departure of the guest delegation from Türkiye on 20^th April 2019.
