The preparation meeting of the European Commission’s Türkiye report was arranged in Brussels on 13 March 2018 with the attendance of the delegation from Türkiye which was chaired by Ambassador Selim Yenel, the Undersecretary of the Ministry of the European Union, and the delegation of the General Directorate of the European Neighbourhood Policy and the Expansion Negotiations of the European Commission, chaired by Ms. Myriam Ferran, the Strategy and Türkiye Director.

The Council of Judges and Prosecutors was represented at the meeting by Mrs. Burcu Sinoplu, the Investigating Judge of the Foreign Relations and Projects Bureau. Detailed explanations were made during the meeting regarding the independence of the CJP, the dismissal of judges and prosecutors, the projects and other activities performed under the umbrella of the CJP, and additional questions were answered in detail.
