The CJP delegation presided by Mr. Osman Nuri Yiğit, the President of the Inspection Board of the CJP, paid a working visit to the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Republic of Azerbaijan for the continuation and strengthening of the cooperation with judicial institutions of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the friendly and brotherly nation with whom we have rooted historic relations.
Within the framework of the visit, first of all, our delegation paid a visit to Mr. Kamran Aliyev, the Prosecutor General of the Republic of Azerbaijan. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Cahit Bağcı, Türkiye’s Ambassador to Baku, accompanied the delegation during the visit. Afterwards, the premises of the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the new administrative building of the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Republic of Azerbaijan were visited and the delegation of the Republic of Azerbaijan shared detailed information about the functioning of the prosecution system. Following that our delegation was informed about the activities and functioning of the Anti-Corruption General Directorate with Prosecutor General. Subsequently, our delegation paid a visit to the Turkish Embassy in Baku upon the invitation of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Cahit Bağcı, Türkiye’s Ambassador to Baku.
Within the framework of the visit, our delegation visited the Martyrs’ Lane, the Turkish Martyrs’ Memorial, the History Museum of the Prosecution Office of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Military Trophy Park and Baku Inner City. Our delegation participated in the Ballet of 1001 Nights-Fikrat Amarov, organized by the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
On the other hand, our delegation visited the city of Aghdam located in the region of Karabakh and whose control was taken over by the Republic of Azerbaijan as a result of the ceasefire agreement signed between the Republic of Azerbaijan and Armenia. Our delegation held official talks in the city of Aghdam, which is a ghost city nowadays. Our delegation was informed by officials about the plans to reconstruct the city.
Our delegation returned to Türkiye after the conclusion of the official visit.
