Within the scope of the “International Training Program on Human Rights Law” organized by the Justice Academy of Türkiye in collaboration with the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TİKA) between 7-11 September 2026, a delegation composed of the representatives of the National Institute of Magistracy and the Superior Council of Magistracy of Romania, who were in our country within the scope of the program, paid a visit to our Council.
The delegation consisting of Ms. Simona-Camelia MARCU, Director of the National Institute of Magistracy of Romania; Ms. Denisa-Angelica STĂNIȘOR, Mr. Fănel MIHALCEA, Mr. Ioan SAS, Members of the Superior Council of Magistracy of Romania; Ms. Andreea-Simona UZLĂU, Secretary General of the Superior Council of Magistracy of Romania, and Mr. Adrian Cătălin OANCEA, Head of the Department of International Relations of the National Institute of Magistracy of Romania was accompanied by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hasan Kadir YILMAZTEKİN, Head of the Department of Foreign Relations and Information of the Justice Academy of Türkiye and Ms. Münevver İNCİ, Rapporteur Judge.
The guest delegation was hosted by Mr. Fuzuli AYDOĞDU, Acting President of the Council of Judges and Prosecutors; Mr. Ahmet UĞUZ, Secretary General; Dr. Müjgan KARYAĞDI, Deputy Secretary General; and Mr. Veli ÜNAL and Mr. Hakan BULUT, Rapporteur Judges.
Within the framework of the visit, information was mutually exchanged regarding the structure, duties, powers and functioning of our Council and the Superior Council of Magistracy of Romania; views and experiences were shared regarding the judicial systems of the two countries and the practices of their respective judicial councils.
During the meeting, the issue of revitalizing the Balkan and Euro-Mediterranean Network of Councils for the Judiciary (BEMNCJ) was also addressed. It was stated by Mr. Fuzuli AYDOĞDU, the Acting President of our Council, with reference to Romania’s significant role in the establishment and institutionalization of the Network, that reactivating the Network through the common will of its member institutions is important for improving dialogue and cooperation between the judicial councils in the region.
Following the expression of wishes of goodwill for the development of cooperation between the judicial institutions of the two countries and for the continuation of mutual exchange of experience, the visit ended.
