The Bosnia-Herzegovina delegation whose members were Mr. Halil Lagumdzija, the President of High Judicial and Prosecutorial Council of Bosnia-Herzegovina and the members of the Council and Mr. Nezir Pivić, Deputy Minister of Justice and his accompanying delegation paid a working visit to our Council on 22nd June 2022 in the company of Mr. Ali Erdem, under secretary of Justice of Bosnia-Herzegovina.
The guest delegation was welcomed in the Plenary meeting hall by Mr. Mehmet Akif Ekinci, the Acting President of the CJP; Mr. Halil Koç, the President of the First Chamber of the CJP; Mr. Seyfi Han, the Secretary General of the CJP; Dr. Müjgan Karyağdı, Deputy Secretary General of the CJP and Mr. Mehmet Emre Sarıyıldız, Mr.Yunus Emre Yumuşakbaş and Ms. Hilal Tuğçe Kılıç, rapporteur judges of the CJP.
Within the framework of the meeting, Ms. Hilal Tuğçe Kılıç, rapporteur judge at the Bureau of Foreign Relations and Projects of the CJP made a detailed presentation to the guest delegation on “the structure, functioning and duties of the CJP”. Following the presentation Mr. Mehmet Akif Ekinci, the Acting President of the CJP; Mr. Halil Koç, the President of the First Chamber of the CJP; Mr. Seyfi Han, the Secretary General of the CJP answered the questions of the guest delegation and especially on the request of the delegation, the delegation was thoroughly informed about the promotion of judges and prosecutors, disciplinary proceedings, inspection and evaluation system.
Following the guest delegation’s briefing about the composition and functioning of the High Judicial and Prosecutorial Council of Bosnia-Herzegovina and exchange of views and questions, the working visit was finalized.
