The delegation presided by Dr. Sc. Arben Murtezic, Director of Federation of Bosnia-Herzegovina Center for Judicial and Prosecutorial Tranining; Mr. Tomislav Čavić, Director of Republic of Srpska Center for Judicial and Prosecutorial Training; Ms. Ljiljana Lakić, Chairperson of Montenegro Center for Judicial and Prosecutorial Training paid a working visit to our Council on 18 September 2022 within the context of International Training Programme on Combating Drug-Related Crimes organized by the Turkish Justice Academyas required by its duty to establish international relations on professional and scientific issues.
The guest delegation was welcomed by Mr. Seyfi Han, the Secretary General of CJP. The guest delegation was accompanied by Assoc. Prof. Hasan Kadir Yılmaztekin, President of the Bureau of Foreign Relations at the Turkish Justice Academy and Ms. Zehra Karagözlü, Rapporteur Judge. Our Council was represented by Mr. Seyfi Han, the Secretary General; Dr. Müjgan Karyağdı, Deputy Secretary General and Mr. Yunus Emre Yumuşakbaş and Ms. Hilal Tuğçe Kılıç, Rapporteur Judges.
Within the framework of the visit, a presentation on the structure, functioning and duties of CJP and its place in the Turkish judicial system was made. Ideas were exchanged on the common and different traits of the judicial systems, relations between councils of judges and prosecutors and justice academies of the participating countries and Türkiye and criteria of admission to profession for judges and prosecutors and appointment methods were discussed.
The visit was finalised following the mutually expressed wishes for enhancing mutual relations.
