V. CONFERENCE on COURTS and COMMUNICATION
Rapporteur Judge of the Foreign Affairs and Projects Bureau Mr. Zeki Uysal and Rapporteur Judge of the Press and Public Relations Bureau Mrs. Sibel Demir Saldırım attended the 5th Conference on Courts and Communication held in Budapest, the capital of Hungary on 12-13 October 2017 in the name of our Council upon the official invitation letter of the President of the Hungarian National Office for the Judiciary, Mrs. Tünde Handó.
The Hungarian National Office for the Judiciary holds each year conferences under the title of ''Court and Communication'' by specifically focusing on different topics. The main focus of the 5th Conference had been decided as ''the Principle of Judicial Clarity''.
In this year's conference held with the participation of more than 100 people from more than 20 countries having international expertise of the subject, among whom are Director of Communication of the Court of Justice of the European Union Mr. William Valasidis and Director of Development of the Danish Court Administration Mrs. Merethe Eckhardt took part as lecturer and moderator.
On the first day of the conference, experts made presentations on the field of 3 subtopics determined as ''Clarity in Judicial Administration'', ''Clarity in Jurisdiction'' and ''Clarity in Court Press Communication''.
On the second day, participants were divided into three working groups and three different ''Workshops'' were held alternately concerning all above-mentioned subtopics under the guidance of moderators. After the workshops, the Conference was concluded following the presentation made by the moderations on the working conclusions.
