A delegation composed of judges and prosecutors from Algeria, Lebanon, Tunisia and Jordan paid a working visit to our Council on 7 March 2024, as part of the International Training Programme on Human Trafficking and Refugee Law.

The guest delegation was received by a delegation headed by Mr Mehmet Akif EKİNCİ, Acting President of our Council and President of the 2nd Chamber and composed of Mr Halil KOÇ, President of the 1st Chamber and Mr Atila ÖZTÜRK, Secretary General; Deputies of Secretary General, Dr Müjgan KARYAĞDI, Dr. Ramazan AKIN, Mr Murat PALA and Mr Cem KARACA, and Rapporteur Judges, Mr Mehmet Emre SARIYILDIZ, Mr Hakan BULUT, Mr Yunus Emre YUMUŞAKBAŞ and Ms Hilal Tuğçe KILIÇ. The visiting delegation was accompanied by Mr Muhittin ÖZDEMİR, President of the Justice Academy of Türkiye, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hasan Kadir YILMAZTEKİN, Head of Department and Dr. Banu Fatma GÜNARSLAN, Rapporteur Judge.

During the meeting, the visiting delegation was informed in detail about the structure, duties and functioning of our Council as well as the judicial system in Türkiye, and provided with English copies of the Information Booklet on the structure and functioning of our Council, the Declaration of Ethics for Turkish Judiciary and the Guidelines on the Use of Social Media within the scope of the Declaration of Ethics for Turkish Judiciary.

Following the meeting, a lunch was held at our Council in honour of the guest delegation and the working visit ended with the exchange of gifts following the mutual expressions of wishes for the further development of close relations and cooperation between the countries, particularly in the field of judiciary.
