The delegation consisting of representatives of Judicial Institute of Republic of Iraq and judges working in various regions of Iraq and visiting our country as the guests of Justice Academy of Türkiye within the framework of “International Training Programme on Combating Terrorism Crimes” held in Ankara on 10 - 14 November 2025, visited our Council on 13 November 2025. 

The delegation of 24 judges working in appeal courts in different regions of Iraq and Institute officials, which was presided by Mr. Celil Adnan Halaf, Director General of Judicial Institute of Republic of Iraq and accompanied by Mr. Bekir Altun, President of Justice Academy of Türkiye was welcomed by Mr. Fuzuli Aydoğdu, Acting President and President of 2nd Chamber of CJP; Mr. Atila Öztürk, Secretary General of CJP and Mrs. Dr. Müjgan Karyağdı, Deputy Secretary General of CJP. The visiting delegation was given a presentation on the structure of our Council, the duties and functions of its chambers, the admission, appointment, promotion and disciplinary procedures of judges and prosecutors, as well as our institutional cooperation activities. 

Mr. Celil Adnan Halaf, Director General of Judicial Institute of Republic of Iraq, stated that the presentation on the structure of our Council, supported with statistical information, provided invaluable information and asked questions on the details regarding the differences between inspection system and appeal authorities.  

At the end of the visit, the wishes to consolidate the judicial cooperation and further develop relations between the two brotherly and friendly countries were expressed. The program ended with exchanges of gratitude and appreciation, presentation of gifts, and a group photo.
