Mrs. Mar CABREJA, the member of Kingdom of Spain General Council of the Judiciary and the accompanying delegation paid a working visit to our Council on 12 July 2021 on the occasion of “The Project on Improvement of the Efficiency of Pre-service Trainings for Candidate Judges and Prosecutors” conducted by Kingdom of Spain General Council of the Judiciary and Ministry of Justice Directorate General for Personnel Affairs.

The guest delegation was received by a delegation headed by Mr. Ergün ŞAHİN, the member of 2nd Chamber of CJP and composed of Mr. Seyfi HAN, the Secretary General of CJP and Rapporteur Judges Mr. Mehmet Emre SARIYILDIZ and Mr. Veli ÜNAL. Besides, the guest delegation was accompanied by Mrs. Derya TOSUN ENGİN, Rapporteur Judge of Ministry of Justice Directorate General for Personnel Affairs.

During the meeting, Mr. Ergün ŞAHİN, the member of 2nd Chamber of CJP and Mr. Seyfi HAN, the Secretary General of CJP informed the guest delegation about the structure, functioning and duties of CJP and training of candidate judges and in-service trainings.  The guest delegation gave detailed information about Kingdom of Spain General Council of the Judiciary and the trainings that the candidate judges and judges on duty are provided with. Moreover, the delegations exchanged information on training of candidate judges and in-service trainings of both countries. Within this scope, English copies of the briefing booklet on the CJP and the Declaration of Ethics for Turkish Judiciary were presented to the guest delegation and the meeting ended following the mutually expressed wishes for enhancing bilateral relations and exchange of gifts.
