Visit of the Chairperson of the Judicial Disciplinary Committee of Mongolia and the Accompanying Delegation to CJP

At the invitation of the Council of Judges and Prosecutors (CJP), the Chairperson of the Judicial Disciplinary Committee of Mongolia (JDC), which became operational in November 2021, and the accompanying delegation paid a study visit to Türkiye. The purpose of their visit was to examine the disciplinary and inspection procedures for judges and prosecutors and to learn about the Turkish judicial institutions.

The guest delegation composed of Mr Khashgambai KHASHBAATAR, Chairperson of the JDC of Mongolia and the Committee members, Mr Ochirbat NOMUULIN, Mr Bayasakh SUGAR and Mr Sonomdovchin ENKHTUR, was received by Mr Mehmet Akif EKİNCİ, Acting President of the CJP and President of the Second Chamber, in the Plenary Hall.

The two-day meetings, which were held in sessions focusing on disciplinary and inspection procedures, were attended on behalf of the CJP by Mr Mehmet Akif EKİNCİ, Acting President and Head of the Second Chamber, Mr Ömer Faruk YILDIRIM, Member of the First Chamber,  Mr Atila ÖZTÜRK, Secretary General, Mr Osman Nuri YİĞİT, President of the Inspection Board,  Mr Selçuk TELLİ, Deputy President of the Inspection Board, Mr Sinan EKİCİ,  Deputy Secretary General, Mr Murat PALA, Deputy Secretary General, Dr. Ms Müjgan KARYAĞDI, Deputy Secretary General, Mr Uğur KAÇAK, Chief Inspector, and the Rapporteur Judges including Mr Hakan BULUT, Mr Serdar KAYA, Mr Fatih Güray KURU, Mr Mehmet Emre SARIYILDIZ, Mr Yunus Emre YUMUŞAKBAŞ,  Ms Hilal Tuğçe KILIÇ, Mr Murat TATAÇ and Mr Abdülaziz ARSLAN. In addition, Mr Badral BAATAR, The First Secretary at the Embassy of Mongolia and Mr Kyenjyetai ALIP, Interpreter Lawyer accompanied the delegation all along the study visit.

During the meetings, Mr Mehmet Akif EKİNCİ, Acting President of the Council, emphasised the need for the continuation and strengthening of the cooperation between the judicial institutions of both countries on the occasion of the 55th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Mongolia and Türkiye, which will be observed in 2024. And the guest delegation, noting that the visit was very productive, requested the signing of a memorandum of understanding for similar working visits and the continuation of the relations between the judicial boards of the two countries and expressed their gratitude.

As part of the visit programme, the study visits were also made to the Justice Academy of Türkiye, the Directorate General for Information Technologies of the Ministry of Justice and the Ankara West Courthouse.
