Visit of the Delegation from the Republic of Korea (South Korea) Legislation Research Institute to Our Council

The delegation from the Republic of Korea (South Korea) Legislation Research Institute, who were in our country as part of the invitation program of the Justice Academy of Türkiye, visited our Council on 16 September 2025.

Mr. Han, Yeong-Soo, President of the Republic of Korea Legislation Research Institute (KLRI) and his accompanying delegation, including Mr. Kim Hyung-Gun, Director General of the KLRI International Cooperation Department, Ms. Jang Hee Jee, the Legislative Exchange and Cooperation Team Leader and Ms. Yun Su Hyun, Researcher at the KLRI International Cooperation Department were welcomed by Mr. Atila Öztürk, Secretary General of the Council of Judges and Prosecutors, and Deputy Secretaries General Dr. Müjgan Karyağdı and Mr. Sinan Ekici. 

Within the framework of the visit, a presentation was delivered to the guest delegation on the structure of our Council, the duties and jurisdiction of its chambers, as well as recruitment, promotion, and disciplinary procedures of judges and prosecutors, alongside the CJP’s international cooperation activities.

Following the informative presentation by Mr Han Yeong-Soo, the head of the visiting delegation, regarding KLRI as a state agency operating as a research institute conducting legislative studies as well as the judicial system of the Republic of Korea, the delegation proceeded to ask questions about our Council as to its national and international cooperation and the member selection system for the high judiciary. These questions were answered in detail, and it was stated that our Council stands ready to cooperate with them.

The visit concluded with expressions of mutual goodwill aimed at strengthening judicial cooperation and further developing relations between the two friendly and brotherly countries. The program ended with exchanges of gratitude and appreciation, mutual gift presentations, and a group photo.
