On 2 September 2025, the delegation of the Judicial Research and Training Institute of the Republic of Korea (South Korea), visiting Türkiye at the invitation of the Justice Academy of Türkiye, paid an official visit to our Council.
The delegation, headed by Mr. KIM Si Cheol, President of the Judicial Research and Training Institute, and composed of Prof. Dr. KANG Dongwon and Dr. YONGMIN Seo, academic members of the Institute, was received by Mr. Atila Öztürk, Secretary General of the Council of Judges and Prosecutors (CJP), and Mrs. Dr. Müjgan Karyağdı, Deputy Secretary General. Within the framework of the visit, a presentation was delivered to the guest delegation on the structure of our Council, the duties and jurisdiction of its chambers, as well as recruitment, promotion, and disciplinary procedures of judges and prosecutors, alongside the CJP’s international cooperation activities.
Following the presentation, Mr. KIM Si Cheol, Head of the delegation, provided information on their Institute and judicial system, noting the differences between the two countries regarding disciplinary procedures of judges. The guest delegation’s questions concerning the “Guidelines on the Use of Social Media within the Scope of the Declaration of Ethics for the Turkish Judiciary” were addressed in detail, and it was emphasized that our Council stands ready to cooperate in this field as well.
The visit concluded with expressions of mutual goodwill aimed at strengthening judicial cooperation and further developing relations between the two friendly and brotherly countries. The program ended with exchanges of gratitude and appreciation, mutual gift presentations, and a group photo.
