The delegation of the Training and Research Institute under the Prosecutor General’s Office of Mongolia, which paid a working visit to our country upon the invitation of the Justice Academy of Türkiye, visited our Council on 6 October 2026.
The delegation, consisting of Mr. Gantulgabat TSOGTBAYAR, Head of the Department of Foreign Relations and Cooperation and Deputy Prosecutor General of the Prosecutor General’s Office of Mongolia; Mr. Bat-Orshikh BATTUMUR, Director of the Training and Research Institute under the Prosecutor General’s Office of Mongolia and Deputy Prosecutor General; and Ms. Bulgan GANJAMBAL, First Secretary of the Embassyof Mongolia, was accompanied by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hasan Kadir YILMAZTEKİN, Head of the Department of Foreign Relations and Information of the Justice Academy of Türkiye, andMr. Ömer Harun ÖZBEK, Rapporteur Judge.
The visiting delegation was received by Mr. Fuzuli AYDOĞDU, Acting President ofthe Council of Judges and Prosecutors and Head of Second Chamber. Dr. Müjgan KARYAĞDI and Mr. Mustafa TÜNAY, Deputy Secretaries General, and Mr. Hakan BULUT and Ms. Hilal Tuğçe KILIÇ, Rapporteur Judges, were present at the reception.
Within the scope of the visit, the visiting delegation was provided with information on the structure and functioning of our Council, the duties and areas of competence of the chambers, the procedures concerning the admission of judges and prosecutors to the profession, appointment, transfer, promotion and discipline, as well as institutional cooperation activities in the international arena; and mutual information and views were exchanged regarding the judicial systems of Türkiye and Mongolia and the institutional structure and functioning of the prosecution services.
During the meeting, satisfaction was expressed with the increasing mutual contacts between our Council and the judicial institutions of Mongolia in recent years, and the importance of continuing institutional cooperation and the exchange of information and experience in the field of the judiciary was emphasized. In this context, attention was drawn to the strengthening of institutional cooperation through the Memoranda of Understanding signed between our Council and the Judicial General Council of Mongolia in February 2025,and with the Judicial Disciplinary Committee of Mongolia in August 2026.
