Within the framework of Justice Administration and Specialized Courts International Training Programme, the delegation composed of the representatives of the Justice Academy and Judicial Selection Committee of the Republic of Azerbaijan and judicial candidates, visiting Türkiye as the guest of Turkish Justice Academy paid a visit to our Council on 11 September 2025.
The delegation, accompanied by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hasan Kadir Yılmaztekin, Head of Foreign Relations Department of Turkish Justice Academy and headed by Mr. Elçin Halafov, Vice-Rector of Justice Academy of the Republic of Azerbaijan, included Mr. Vidadi Cafarov, Chairman of the Judicial Selection Committee and Justice of the Supreme Court of the Republic of Azerbaijan; Mr. İbrahim Feyziyev, Secretary of Judicial-Legal Council and Head of the Documentation and Citizen Communication Branch of the Human Resources Department and judicial candidates.
A presentation was delivered on the structure of our Council, the duties and jurisdiction of its chambers, as well as recruitment, promotion, and disciplinary procedures of judges and prosecutors, alongside the CJP’s (Council of Judges and Prosecutors) international cooperation activities to the delegation that was welcomed by Mr. Fuzuli Aydoğdu, the Acting President of CJP and Head of 2nd Chamber; Mr. Atila Öztürk, the Secretary General and Mrs. Dr. Müjgan Karyağdı, Deputy Secretary General.
Subsequently, ideas were exchanged on the common working areas between judicial institutions of the two countries and the intentions to further strengthen the cooperation and the bonds of legal friendship in judiciary were expressed.
Following the visit, a luncheon was served by our Council in honor of the guest delegation; gifts and plaques were exchanged and a group photo was taken to commemorate the visit.
