On 16 October 2020 a meeting was held as part of the work on “Justification in Judicial Decisions and Legal Argumentation in Judgements” conducted by the Justice Academy of Türkiye to deal with exchange of views and planning.
Rapporteur Judge Mr. Hakan Bulut attended the meeting, on behalf of CJP, and pointed out the loss of rights due to the lack of reasoning in court judgements and the planned change in the assessment forms of legal remedies, made mention of the works about identifying examples of bad and good practices, briefed about ongoing works on merit system and lastly referring to the wording “they take care… to support their acts with sufficient justification” of the Article 8 (3) of the Declaration of Ethics for Turkish Judiciary, stressed the issue of promoting good examples of practices for contributing to the work.
On 12 February 2021 the second meeting was held and Rapporteur Judge Mr. Hakan Bulut attended on behalf of CJP. In the meeting, activity schedule was presented and then opinions, comments and suggestions were received from the attendees.
