A delegation headed by Mr Fuzuli AYDOĞDU, Acting President of the Council of Judges and Prosecutors, and composed of Mr Ömer ÖRÜCÜ, Deputy Secretary General, and Rapporteur Judges Mr Hakan BULUT and Mr Yunus Emre YUMUŞAKBAŞ, paid working and courtesy visits to the friendly and brotherly countries of the Republic of Kosovo and the Republic of North Macedonia upon their invitation. Within the framework of these visits, contacts were held aimed at developing relations between judicial institutions, enhancing the mutual exchange of institutional experience and strengthening cooperation in the field of the judiciary.
In this context, meetings were held with the Judicial Council of the Republic of Kosovo on 5 May 2026, and with the Judicial Council of the Republic of North Macedonia and the Constitutional Court of the Republic of North Macedonia on 6 May 2026. During the meetings, views were exchanged on various issues relating to judicial administration, disciplinary procedures, judicial ethics, institutional functioning and mutual exchange of experience; and a shared commitment was expressed regarding the establishment of a network of judicial councils aimed at further strengthening relations between the countries through institutional cooperation in the field of the judiciary. On the other hand, the delegation also paid a courtesy visit to Mr Fikrim DAMKA, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo.
Furthermore, on 7 May 2026, the delegation paid a working and courtesy visit to the Embassy of the Republic of Türkiye in Belgrade. During the visit, they met with H.E. Mr İlhan SAYGILI, Ambassador of the Republic of Türkiye to Belgrade, and exchanged views on regional developments, bilateral relations and judicial diplomacy.
The visits were held in an extremely productive and constructive atmosphere, and it was stated that the contacts in question made significant contributions to the development of institutional relations in the field of the judiciary with friendly and brotherly countries, as well as to the further advancement of international cooperation.
